Getting ready to move can be a stressful process, let us help!
Below is a list of reminders that will hopefully help to take a few things off your to-do list:
- Check your lease agreement to ensure that you are able to give notice. Your lease will state when you are able to give notice. If you are currently on a fixed term lease, your lease expiration date is the date in which you are able to return possession of the property. We ask that you give at least a 30-day written notice under these circumstances, unless some other written agreement has been made. If you are currently on a month to month agreement, then we ask that you give at least a 60-day written notice unless some other written agreement has been made.
- If you find that you are in need of moving but are still obligated under your lease agreement, please contact our office to discuss your options.
- If you have met the requirement to give notice to vacate, we ask that you provide this notice to us in writing. Please click on the form above to complete the Notice of Intent to Vacate and you may email that to your assigned Property Manager or drop it off at the office. If you decide to mail your notice, please note that the day that the office receives the notice will be considered DAY 1 of your notice.
- Once you have submitted your Notice of Intent to Vacate, you are able to schedule a pre-move out inspection with your Property Manager. This inspection cannot be any sooner than (2) weeks prior to your move out date. During this inspection, the Property Manager will advise you of items he/she feels that you should address prior to your move out in order to assist in reducing security deposit deductions. Please note that this is purely a visual inspection and Property Manager still reserves the right to add deductions to your deposit that may or may not have been evident during the pre-move out inspection.
